So my husband rushed me in on Christmas eve (because it was faster than 911), and luckily a nurse met us at drop off. I was wheeled to front desk and instantly taken back and cared for.
This hospital has always been my first choice but now they definitely always will be. Definitely nurse Stacy went above and beyond for me, checking back in every 10- 15 mins once I was stable, she even called into

Last night was my second visit to this emergency room. The first visit was for myself. They got me in and out in no time flat. Not only were they fast they were attentive and accurate in assessing my issues. Second time I had to bring my daughter it took longer for more thorough testing, but it was worth it. My nephew was here for chest pains, with blood pressure 165 over 105 .. in the fast track place he had an iv and was freezing, shivering, teeth chattering and they denied him a blanket .. why ??
Keep it so cold. Patients are already in pain, uncomfortable and a simple warm blanket brings comfort .. please enlighten us on this policy...

New visiting hours end at 8pm unless you are an unsupervised adolescent in which case you can visit anyone anytime. At night a patient has to rely solely on his or her nurse. This hospital isn't staffed that way. That's putting it nicely. Angry spouse!

This is the worst hospital in the area, unless you or a loved one plan on dying. And then in that case, be prepared for the nurses and site manager to be completely without empathy or show any kind of respect and compassion. Avoid this ER at all costs!! I arrived having stroke symptoms, total left side paralysis and weakness, struggling to speak and slurred visual issues. Very confused, couldn’t even remember my own phone number. I was brushed off. At one time, we felt like it was the best center and staff in east Texas. After an issue with my heart yesterday, it is the worst I have ever experienced. It took at least 5 minutes for staff to get to the check in and see what the issue was about. They placed me in a room that had destroyed walls with electrical fixtures hanging out. The emergency remote attached to the TV remote would not work.

This hospital as a whole is a joke, There are specific nurses that care but overall I wouldn’t send my dog to this hospital. If are under insured, they do not care about you. They just want to get you out.
