DR Horton sold us a house that has a major drainage problems and never disclosed to us the backyard floods. Buyer beware, where do I begin?! So many things wrong but the main point is that DR Horton will not help you in any “warranty claim” AFTER you purchase your house. It is not just us in Florida because the corporate people are the decision makers and they do not care about customers at all. Absolutely horrible — they not only won’t do the warranty work, leaving me to do repairs on my own dime, the D.R. Horton owned HOA wants me to get approval to do even simple things to repair the problems they caused … can anyone say “punitive”? This is after their agent convinced me that it’s a really easy going HOA situation. Absolute lies.

When it comes to warranty work, this home builder is less interested in what they can do and more interested in what they can avoid doing. The reason people have homes built is so they can have warranties and don’t have to worry about things while they settle in. But things that are clearly messed up during construction are considered not covered. Getting the warranty work done is also not very

Laughable quality. House is falling apart after only a few months of living in a D.R Horton home. My yard has turned into a pool and nothing is being done, the foremen admitted to my house being built "wrong" on my lot on land which is the reason for my flooding but instead of directly taking the responsibility they decided to blame my dogs for the "divits" in the grass left from the erroding rain

The Corporate HQ contacted my local D.R. Horton company to fixed my yard the same day of my request 2 weeks ago. The supervisor came out and promised to take care of my yard right away. I haven't heard back from them since. This is an ongoing problem since I moved in on 1 January 2021. I was hopeful that HQ would follow up on this issue.
